Miranda Diaz is an artist and designer based in Chicago, Illinois who has a deep passion for texture and color. Her interest in these elements began with clothing, and has since expanded to various tactile practices, including weaving, sewing, and screen-printing, among others. While her primary focus is on textiles, she occasionally ventures into metalwork, particularly in the realm of jewelry making.
Miranda holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fabric Design from the University of Georgia, which has provided her with a strong foundation in her artistic pursuits. Her work draws inspiration from notable artists such as David Lynch, Alexander McQueen, and David Bowie, who have had a significant impact on her creative vision.
Vibrant colors play a central role in Miranda's artwork, and she skillfully incorporates them with other elements and concepts to capture emotions and whimsy in her pieces. Whether through her textiles or jewelry, Miranda aims to evoke a sense of wonder and fascination in those who engage with her art.
