Rather than patch from the inside of the garment, I decided to go for a more stylistic approach and add an exterior patch. Despite there only being one hole in the shirt to repair, I wanted to create balance and intentionality (while also being playful), so I went with a pair of eye patches. For the patches, I used a light-grey felted wool and free-motion embroidered the shape of en eye, securing them to the shirt.
